Privacy Policy

Stock2Swap (“we”, “us”) operates a mobile-first ingredient exchange platform for restaurants. This policy describes what we collect, why, and how we protect it. It applies to the Stock2Swap iOS app and the Stock2Swap website.
Information we collect
- Account info — your name, email, and password (hashed). Provided when you register.
- Restaurant profile — restaurant name, address, zip code, cuisine type, and an optional profile photo.
- Inventory and exchange content — ingredients you list, photos of those items, ping messages, and chat messages between restaurants.
- Device identifiers — push-notification tokens used solely to deliver alerts you have opted in to.
- Coarse location — your zip code, used to match your restaurant with nearby neighbors. We do not track your device’s GPS.
How we use it
All data is used to operate the app — letting restaurants discover one another, exchange ingredients, send messages, and receive notifications. We do not sell personal information. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not allow third-party tracking.
Payments
When a restaurant pays another restaurant for ingredients, payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe collects card details directly; Stock2Swap never sees or stores card numbers. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to that processing.
Data sharing
We share the minimum necessary information with two service providers: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage) and Stripe (payments). Both are bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations. We do not share your data with anyone else.
Your rights
You can edit your restaurant profile, change your email, or delete your account at any time from the in-app Settings screen. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, inventory listings, and message history from our database. If you need help, contact us at support@stock2swap.com.
Security
All network traffic is encrypted with TLS. Database access is protected by row-level security policies so restaurants can only see their own data and what other restaurants explicitly share.
Children
Stock2Swap is intended for restaurant operators and is not directed to anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we will update the effective date above and notify active users in-app.
